YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED in An AMAZING PLACE AWAY FROM HOME

AND ARE LOOKING FOR A LAID BACK PHOTOGRAPHER THAT WILL BE THERE TO DOCUMENT IT ALL?

Getting married somewhere beautiful?

There’s something magical about choosing a place away from home to get married.

Maybe it’s a quiet village in Italy.
A windswept coastline in Portugal.
A vineyard in Spain.
A tropical beach in Mexico.
A mountain town in Switzerland.

Destination weddings slow things down. They bring your closest people together for more than just a few hours. They create space to be present, to explore, to celebrate, and to turn your wedding into an unforgettable experience to everyone.

As a destination wedding photographer, this is the kind of celebration that makes my heart beat a little faster.

I don’t just love photographing weddings.
I love the adventure that comes with them.

New landscapes. New architecture. New cultures. New light.
And the beautiful privilege of documenting a love story somewhere special to you.

I’m your girl!

I have 3 passports, speak Portuguese, Spanish, some German and Italian, and am always ready for an adventure!

I feel so inspired by new locations, new cultures and new experiences. I'd be so honored to document your love story wherever it might be!
I’ve photographed weddings in 6 different countries and am always wowed about how destination weddings feel so intimate and meaningful.

We had a 3 day wedding ceremony in Portugal and Barbara was there through out all of it. Not only is she one of the kindest women I have ever met but she is the most amazing Photographer who caught all the magic behind the scenes and we were so blown away when we got our photos back, they were absolutely EXCELLENT and exactly what we wanted.

AN EXPERIENCED Photographer AND WORLD TRAVELER

Destination weddings come with lots of moving parts. Travel logistics, unfamiliar venues, new cultures, language barrier…

Having a photographer who is comfortable navigating all of that makes a big difference.

I’ve photographed weddings for over 10 years and documented 300+ celebrations in 7 different countries. That experience means I know how to adapt quickly, stay calm when plans shift, and keep things feeling effortless for you.

My approach is always documentary and natural. I’m there to capture the real moments, the emotion, the atmosphere of the place you chose, and the way it all felt.

And yes, I travel often and happily.

I hold three passports, which allows me to easily travel throughout North America, South America, and Europe.

I also speak Portuguese and Spanish, and a little German and Italian, which often comes in handy when working with local vendors, navigating a new place, or simply connecting with people along the way.

But most importantly, when couples invite me to their destination wedding, they’re not just hiring a photographer.

They’re inviting someone who will travel with them, support them, celebrate with them, and document their story with care.

Why Destination Weddings Are So Special

When you get married somewhere away from home, everything feels a little more intentional.

You’re not rushing from place to place.
You’re not trying to please hundreds of people.

Instead, your wedding becomes an experience.

Morning coffee with your favorite people.
Exploring a new city together.
A welcome dinner that turns into late night laughter.
A ceremony with a view that takes everyone’s breath away.

Destination weddings are about connection.
Connection to the place, to your people, and to each other.

Those are the moments I love documenting most.

You've got a Q...

I've got an A

+ How can we book you for our wedding?

Easy peasy. You say 'heck yeah, we wanna book you!,' sign an electronic agreement and send a $2,000 deposit fee. And voilà. You're all set!

+ How long does it take for us to get our photos?

You can expect your wedding photos within 10 weeks, but don't you worry, I'll send you a preview of your day within 15 days to hold you over. As for your engagement or lifestyle session, those will take up to 8 weeks to get delivered. You'll have access to an online gallery where you can download and share them with everyone. No watermarks. These photos are ready to print. Print away!

+ How many images do we get?

400-800 for weddings, depending on how many hours of coverage you book. And 80-120 pictures for engagement and lifestyle sessions. All photos you receive are in high-resolution and fully edited with the style you see on my website.

+ Do we need a second shooter for our wedding?

Well, you don't neeeeed a second shooter... I'm very comfortable photographing weddings solo, but it's pretty awesome to have one, because it will bring a second perspective throughout the day, you'll get more candid moments of your guests, and most importantly, we can be in two different locations at the same time (I still don't have that super power). If you're not seeing each other before the ceremony or if you're wedding has more than 100 guests, I highly recommend getting a second shooter.

+ Should we do an engagement session?

Enagagement sessions are a great way for us to break the ice and get to know each other before the wedding day. You have a chance to learn how I work behind the camera and I have a chance to learn more about you two as a couple, so I can better capture your real selves. Besides walking away with photos that really represent who you are on a more laid-back scenario (you know...without all that bling), you'll feel a lot more comforatble to be in front of the camera when the wedding day comes. Promise.

+ Should we see each other before the ceremony, aka'First Look'?

It's your day, and it's totally up to you, of course! I personally, think is super practical to see each other beforehand. You get to do most of the photos ahead of time (even bridal party and family photos) and then you get to enjoy the cocktail hour with your peeps. That's why you're doing this dang thing, right? To marry your soul mate and to share it with all the people you love.

+ Do you travel to photograph our destination wedding?

Definitely! I do, I have and I'll go wherever your wedding takes me! I'm ready to go! I have American, European and South American passports, and I speak fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish, and ein bisschen German.

Wedding and lifestyle collections include travel up to 75 miles of zip code 21050. There's an extra travel fee beyond that radius. For destination weddings, I will charge an extra flat fee to cover all my travel expenses. I am responsible for booking my flight, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals,... so you don't have to worry about anything!

+ Can we post our images on social media?

Abso-freakin-lutely! Share them with the World! I really love when my couples credit and tag @Barbara O Photography.

+ Do you have liability insurance?

I sure do. Let me know in advance if your venue requests Certification of Insurance.
