What is your style of photography?

I like to create images that are journalistic, organic and real. I'm far from your traditional wedding photographer. Don't expect cheesy or remote controlled poses, I like natural and flowy movements, where the unique personalities and expressions of the couple shine through. I would say my work is a mix of photojournalism, fine art and artistic styles.

How many images will we receive?

Weddings typically range from 400 to 800 pictures, depending on the time-frame of the day, amount of 'formal' events, and if there is a second shooter involved. Engagement and lifestyle sessions usually include from 60 - 80 pictures. All photos that you receive are edited and fully colored in high resolution (for printing) and low resolution (for sharing on the web).

How long does it take for us to get our photos?

Weddings may take up to 6-8 weeks. Engagement and lifestyle sessions may take up to 4-6 weeks.

Are you available to travel or photograph our destination wedding?

YES! I'll go wherever your wedding takes us! I'm ready to go! I have American, European and South American passports, and speak fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish, and ein bisschen German.

For weddings or lifestyle sessions, I will travel up to 75 mile of Bel Air, MD free of charge. There will be an extra charge of $0.50 per extra mile for traveling beyond the 75 mile radius. In addition, overnight lodging costs may also be required.
For destination weddings, I will charge an extra rate to cover for all my travel expenses. I am responsible for booking my flight, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals,... so you don't have to worry about anything! Please contact me for a custom quote for your destination wedding.

Do we need a second shooter?

Well, you don't neeeeed a second shooter... But it is pretty awesome to have one! There is always that second perspective with a different lens, covering everything to make sure we cover absolutely everything. Besides, it's a lot more stress-free to know there are multiple shooters getting every detail. Let's talk about your wedding plans and figure out what makes the most sense for you.

Can we post our images on social media?

Of course! After all, the pictures are yours! None of the pictures will have a watermark, so share them with the World! I would really appreciate it, though, if you give credit to 'Barbara O Photography'.

How can we book you?

Your wedding day will be reserved after signing the contract and paying a non-refundable retainer fee of $1,200. The last part of the payment will be made up to 30 days prior to your wedding day. Easy peasy.

Who chooses the images for our wedding album?

I do! I have a whole vision of how to tell your story through my photographs. So, I'll design the album and send you a proof for your final approval. After you say that everything looks awesome, I'll go ahead and send it to the lab for printing.

Do we own copyright or print release for our images?

No, not the copyright. Yes, you own the print release.

I will always own the copyright to the photographs, that allows me to use the images on my website, social media, competitions, etc... it also means that none of my images may be altered in any manner without my explicit consent. It's the way I protect my work from being modified (cropping it, adding coloring filters, etc...). You do own, however, a print release, which allows you to print every/any picture you want in any size you want, as long as is only for personal use.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes! Of course. Please let me know in advance if your venue requests insurance so I can take care of all the paperwork.
