YOU’RE PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING

AND WANT A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO FITS RIGHT IN AND CAPTURES IT ALL?

I'm your girl!

“We had a 3 day wedding ceremony in Portugal and Barbara was there through out all of it. Not only is she one of the kindest women I have ever met but she is the most amazing photographer who caught all the magic behind the scenes and we were so blown away when we got our photos back, they were absolutly EXCELLENT and exactly what we wanted.”

PICTURE IT…

Maybe it’s a quiet village in Italy. A breathtaking coastline in Portugal. A vineyard in Spain. A tropical beach in Mexico. A mountain town in Switzerland…

Destination weddings slow things down. They bring your closest people together for more than just a few hours. They create space to be present, meaningful and to turn your wedding into an unforgettable experience to everyone.

As a Destination Wedding Photographer, this is the kind of celebration that makes my heart beat a little faster.
I love the adventure and inspiration that comes with them.
New landscapes. New architecture. New cultures. New light. And the beautiful privilege of documenting a love story somewhere special to you.

“We will forever have chills looking at our wedding photos. My wife and I eloped to Malta and looking through Barbara’s portfolio, we just knew that we needed to fly her with us. Our experience with Barbara was truly magical. She’s an absolute ray of sunshine and helped even my wife feel comfortable in front of a camera.”

Destination weddings come with lots of moving parts. Travel logistics, unfamiliar venues, new cultures, language barrier… Having a photographer who is comfortable navigating all of that makes a big difference.

I’ve photographed weddings for over 10 years and documented 300+ celebrations in several different countries. That experience means I know how to adapt quickly, stay calm when plans shift, and keep things feeling effortless for you. My approach is always documentary and natural. I’m there to capture the real moments, the emotion, the atmosphere of the place you chose, and the way it all felt.

And yes, I travel often and happily.

I'm ready to go!

I have 3 passports, speak Portuguese, Spanish, and a little German and Italian, which often comes in handy when working with local vendors and connecting with people along the way.

But most importantly, when couples invite me to their destination wedding, they’re not just hiring a photographer. They’re inviting someone who will travel with them, support them, celebrate with them, and document their story with care.

I'd be so honored to document your love story wherever it might be!

You've got a Q...

I've got an A

+ How does travel and accommodation work?

Travel and accommodation are included in your custom quote, so everything is clear from the start. You don’t have to coordinate anything. I take care of booking my own flights, transportation, and stay so you have one less thing to think about.

+ When do you arrive before the wedding and how long do you stay?

I typically arrive two days before your wedding. This gives me time to settle in, adjust to the light and environment, and scout locations. It also builds in a little buffer in case of travel delays.

Most destination weddings turn into a full experience, so many couples also add coverage for a welcome dinner or a day-after session. I stay longer when that’s part of the plan.

+ Do you scout locations ahead of time?

Yes. I usually spend time the day before your wedding exploring the area, looking for beautiful light, unique spots, and locations that fit your vision. Even in a new place, I come in prepared and intentional.

+ Can we do a day-after or adventure session?

Yes, and I highly recommend it. A day-after session gives us the freedom to explore your destination without any timeline pressure. We can chase good light, visit a beautiful location, and create something really special.

+ Do we need a second shooter?

It depends on your wedding. I’m very comfortable photographing solo, especially for smaller or more intimate destination weddings. If you’re having a larger celebration or multiple locations, I may recommend adding a second photographer. I’m happy to guide you on what makes the most sense.

+ How far in advance should we book?

Most destination weddings are booked 9–18 months in advance, especially for popular dates and locations. The sooner you reach out, the better chance I’ll be available.

+ What is it like to have you at a destination wedding?

It feels easy. I’m there to support you, blend in, and document everything as it naturally unfolds. My goal is for you to feel at ease, fully present, and not like you’re being photographed all day. By the time the wedding day arrives, things feel comfortable, familiar, and effortless, more like having a friend there with you, camera in hand.

+ What are some of your dream destination locations?

Oh… this is a dangerous question.

From destination weddings in the Alps or Yosemite with those cinematic mountain views, to the warm tones of the Morocco desert or a safari in Kenya. The vibrant energy of a bif city like Tokyo, the romance of Paris, the coastline of Croatia, or somewhere rich in culture like Cambodia or a tucked-away village in Peru. And New Zealand… those Lord of the Rings kind of landscapes that feel straight out of another world.

But honestly, it’s not about a specific place. Whether it’s a beach, a city, the countryside, or somewhere completely off the map, if it feels meaningful to you, I’m already in! :)
