Fall Wedding at Fleetwood Farm Winery | Leesburg, VA
Right in time for the Fall season is this absolute charmer of a wedding in the wine country of Virginia. Fleetwood Farm played host the the wedding of Chloe and Brett last autumn, and I was just in love with the warm tones and the cozy feeling that the turning leaves give you.
It was extra romantic to take photos of these two absolutely adorable humans to the background of the autumn leaves changing because you could also feel that transition happening in their lives as the anticipation mounted to the ceremony.
Weddings can be so magical for that reason, just like the changing of the seasons, two people get to walk into a new season of their lives as one instead of two. The timing and setting felt just right!
These two met at college upstate New York, the East Coast girl from Northern Virginia and the midwestern boy from Chicago. When it was time to move on to the next part of their lives, Chloe got a job in DC, and just like that, Brett was in for the long haul, packing his bags to go with her.
They filled their days with their favorite hobbies, walking around their neighborhood, frequenting the zoo, and catching up on TV together, and both pursued careers connected to the media.
But when the days of quarantine rolled around, Brett got to thinking they should go all in on the relationship (a true testament to their love in my opinion). So, even though it didn’t go quite as planned, (Chloe using her journalism skills to catch on to the secret!) Brett proposed and they were so thrilled to start their lives together as husband and wife.
Their wedding day was an absolute stunner, filled with friends and family from across the eastern half of the US, and the bride and groom were lost in their own little world together, thrilled to be able to share these memories with everyone.
The color palette they chose was just to stunning. The copper and rust tones of her bridesmaids dresses stood out against the changing trees. Their florals were full of soft whites and other earthy tones that complemented some of the bolder oranges and reds so well.
Those group shots are all so stunning, full of texture with the silks and flowers, the reception felt so cozy with all those fabrics and vintage accents. It’s every thing you want in a Fall wedding.
Chloe and Brett, thank you for letting me share a little piece of your new beginning. Much love!
